So, the New Year has started like no other New Year! Kaaren are getting ready for our third trip to Colorado next weekend. She was able to make the trip out for Inaguration, which also happens to be her birthday for trip # 2. We started the weekend with welcoming our first house guests, Holmes and Mazzy, which were a true joy to have come visit. The following morning we had a mini-ELP (Environmental Leadership Program) reunion/birthday party. We met Luis, Kristen, Chris & Todd, Holmes & Mazzy, Bill and Alan? It's akin to hanging out with brother's and sister's the way we all banter back and forth.

Mazzy w/ Obama at Cake Love So the weekend just kept going...we met "Ross the Intern" - multiple times I might add - and joined Kate Clinton for her "saging" of the White House.
We had a nonstop fabulous time from watching the swearing ceremony from the warmth of Ducks Unlimited Headquarters, while K contemplated her pledge to never date a hunter that she made as a small child. Both she and Steve got along fabulously as we enjoyed the crowds from the comfort of food, bathrooms, televisions, and couches. What a treat.
Then the HRC Ball...was quite the party - Cindi Lauper, Catie Curtis, Rufus Wainright, Thelma Houston, and Melissa Etheride - if I can figure out how to post video, I will - the even was beautiful and brilliant...so fun.
